Why did you apply for the Master of Land and Water Systems?

I have always been interested in plants and organic farming, having worked on organic farms and greenhouses in the past. I also hold a certificate and degree in horticulture. Three years ago, I started working in municipal water conservation and quality and became fascinated with environmental systems and how everything works together. This program sounded like an amazing opportunity for me to explore a range of topics I’m interested in and to develop skills in sustainable resource and environmental management.

What are you most excited about learning in the MLWS program?

I can’t wait to learn more about the amazing properties of soil!

What are some of your favourite hobbies?

I’m usually gardening or playing outside with my two dogs, Whiskey and Leo. I recently learned to sew with the goal of making more of my own clothes. I just finished a pair of overalls!
