Why did you apply for the Master of Land and Water Systems?
During my undergraduate study at UBC, I majored in forest resource management, giving me preliminary insights and a strong interest in environmental science and natural resource management. MLWS is a good choice, giving me a platform to acquire knowledge about multiple environmental fields, including forestry, conservation, land and water, etc. I hope I can engage in the work of natural resource planning in the future to help the value of high-quality land and water resources be used to a greater extent, especially in urban areas.
What are you most excited about learning in the MLWS program?
I show more interest in urban land and water systems and ecological restoration in forests. In this program, academic study can be well integrated with practice. I hope to have more access to professional experiences in natural resources management tactics.
What are some of your favourite hobbies?
I love travelling and hiking, especially experiencing various natural views and cultures. My road trip to Banff was the most unforgettable one. I also like watching movies to enjoy different stories.
