Why did you apply for the master of land and water systems?
On professional level, I have experiences working in sectors like environment, policy and planning and environmental education for more than 6 years. I loved the integration of science and holistic approach offered by the Master of Land and Water Systems program as it aligns with the nature of professional experiences I had thus far. For me, MLSW was like a window to further channel my academic knowledge and skills in pursuit of understanding land water nexus.
What are you most excited about learning in the MLWS programs?
Being opportune to study at the University of British Columbia in the first place itself is exciting. I look forward to interacting and learning from students and professors with diverse backgrounds at UBC. I am keen to learn land and water nexus in-depth from MLWS program to proliferate my acquired knowledge in water systems.
What are some of your favourite hobbies?
I enjoy the art of story telling through photography. I love to explore new places and meet new people. My favorite place I have traveled to was at the United Nation Headquarters in New York, USA during the UN General Assembly, 2019. I witnessed deliveries of policies at the highest levels by various country diplomats, climate negotiations and pledges by various stakeholders, and met many inspiring and amazing fellow youth envoys partaking various SDG actions.
