Why did you apply for the Master of Land and Water Systems?
Throughout my undergraduate years, I have developed a strong interest in sustainable agriculture and natural resources. My major in Global Resource Systems provided me with a flexible learning environment, where I built up interdisciplinary knowledge about land and food system, both locally and internationally. My passion grew stronger after attending the UBC Farm Practicum and working at the local organic farm. This triggered my desire to pursue a higher academic level on this field and this is why I decided to apply to MLWS.
What are you most excited about learning in the MLWS program?
I am most excited about learning the soil and water management. I am eager to learn professional and analytical skills addressing land and water resources issues and many other agricultural concerns.
What are some of your favourite hobbies?
I love learning languages because it can help me understand other cultures although it takes a lot of time and dedication. Travelling around the world is also one of my favourite hobbies. I also like cooking, growing vegetable, hiking, and skiing.
