Why did you apply for the Master of Land and Water Systems?
I decided to apply to the MLWS because I believe water is the most vital resource required to sustain many human needs, including food security, and to preserve the well-being and proper functioning of ecosystems to provide environmental goods and services. Consequently, I am most keen to explore solutions related to the increasing demand for water as the global population continues to grow, and the degradation of ecosystems caused by improper land-use and management practices. My professional aspiration is to be in a position that helps provide water security, promote sustainable management of resources and encourage environmental preservation.
What are you most excited about learning in the MLWS program?
I am most excited to gain more knowledge on the integrated approach to planning for the management of water and land resources, as well as
understand how the various levels of government regulations related to decision-making processes.
What are some of your favourite hobbies?
I enjoy cycling and going on hikes as I consider both to be great ways to explore the nature and scenery of a region. I also enjoy relaxing at home watching shows, movies, playing video games and listening to music.
