Why did you apply for the Master of Land and Water Systems?
With a keen interest in Integrated Land and Water Resources Management, I think that the MLWS program will provide me with a perfect opportunity to explore the sophisticated interactions between water resources, land use, climate change and human interests. I look forward to alleviating environmental degradation caused by competing demands for food and energy, expanding population and increasingly intense climate change through establishing long term sustainable integrated planning frameworks. Academically, I am excited to learn more about sustainable planning and environmental management approaches which ensuring environmental safeguards as well as maximally supporting humans’ livelihoods.
What are you most excited about learning in the MLWS program?
I am interested in learning more about interdisciplinary planning frameworks through analyzing environmental, social and economical factors, therefore conserving land and water systems.
What are some of your favourite hobbies?
I love music, art and nature. I play traditional Chinese instruments, guzheng and pipa. Recently, I am keen on the drum kit and interested in writing lyrics. I enjoy travelling, photography and being near water.
