Why did you apply for the Master of Land and Water Systems?

After working as a mineral exploration geologist in northern Canada for over 5 years, I am now looking to transition into an environmentally focused professional role. I was drawn to MLWS as the interdisciplinary nature of the program allows for improving technical abilities in several subjects while also addressing intersections between natural, social, and economic systems.

What are you most excited about learning in the MLWS program?

I am especially interested in sustainable resource management, soil science, and land reclamation, but excited to discover more through the program and from my fellow students.

What are some of your favourite hobbies?

I love growing vegetables and flowers in my garden, hiking, camping, and I am looking forward to a time when social dancing can happen safely again.
