Why did you apply for the Master of Land and Water Systems?
Land and water resources are not only closely related to all aspects of human life, but also affect the whole ecosystem. Facing population expansion and environmental pollution, the scientific management of land and water system is particularly important. I am personally passionate about researches and careers relevant to water resources engineering, and this program can offer me the expertise to consider the engineering construction and deal with global emerging issues in a sustainable and integrated perspective.
What are you most excited about learning in the MLWS program?
I am eager to meet new people with unique viewpoints and various experiences, learn more professional knowledge of land and water resources systematically, and equip myself with backgrounds and analytical skills to address global issues based on the integrated understanding of the ecological, energy, hydrological and pedological cycles and the impacts of human activity to the world. In addition, I hope to conduct some researches about water resources or soil science during this program in order to pave the way for my future research career.
What are some of your favourite hobbies?
Traveling is my fancy out of work, and Vancouver is such a beautiful and unforgettable city to explore so I will try to balance my study and life to create more opportunities for traveling here. I also love movies or jogging in a lazy afternoon.
