Why did you apply for the Master of Land and Water Systems?

The blue sky and white clouds, clear water and green mountains have been a vital part that has made my study experience in Canada extraordinary. This enormous contrast of living environment to my hometown, Taiyuan City of Shanxi Province motivates me to shoulder the responsibility of environmental governance. My long-term ambition is to become established as an Environmental Consultant and work on the cause of utilizing geospatial technologies to resolve emerging environmental issues in my hometown. I have learned crucial features about the Master of Land and Water system and deem it as the right choice for me. The theoretical study and practical skills training in land and water systems that will help establish my career in the environmental industry.

What are you most excited about learning in the MLWS program?

I appreciate interdisciplinary, methodology and complex content in systems. I will view a problem from environmental, socio-economic and other different perspectives in the MLWS program. I am excited to learn about urbanization, sustaining ecological services, restoration of degraded lands, adapting to climate change and resource conservation.

What are some of your favourite hobbies?

Photography, blog writing, traveling, flower arrangement, singing, reading, listening to music and cooking.
